Personal happiness is workplace happiness
We are all striving for happiness. If we use an analogy and imagine that happiness is the direction we are all heading in, then the route to this is personal development, the compass is who we truly are and the way-markers are self-awareness and self-responsibility.
A conscious person is self-aware, self responsible, does the work required to change and grow, walks the talk, treat others with respect, love and humanity, has a positive mindset, acknowledges the spiritual aspect of others, does not judge, or engage in destructive behaviours to self or others, seeks a balance in life and self, contributes to the greater good and is socially and environmentally responsible.
For us, being a conscious company is about honouring the whole person, (mind, body, emotions and spirit) within working life. We acknowledge that trying to take the person out of the work is de-humanising, sterile and misses the wonder of individuality.
The ability to relate as one real person to another real person on a heartfelt level does not make the interchange less professional, but instead sets conditions for progression to a mutually beneficial outcome via the core of a problem or concern.
Business need to be more conscious of employee values and principles in order to survive and grow. A conscious business co-exists in harmony with its employees, suppliers and customers. It collaborates and is aware at all levels of operation. It supports and respects the right for all people to operate as whole individuals in their working life, by using mind, body, heart and spirit.
